Altecnic Caleffi 0.16 Litre Water Hammer Arrestor 1/2" BSP – Stainless Steel – PV016C

The Altecnic Caleffi PV016C Pneumatic Shock Arrestor is designed to reduce the effects of water hammer within domestic plumbing systems.

Water hammer occurs when flowing water is brought to an abrupt stop, often due to the rapid closure of lever-operated taps, solenoid valves or appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines. This can create pressure shocks, causing pipework to vibrate, shudder and potentially damage joints and fittings over time.

The Altecnic pneumatic water hammer arrestor helps absorb these pressure shocks, reducing vibration and protecting the plumbing system from the damaging effects of sudden changes in water flow.

With a compact 0.16-litre capacity and a 1/2" male threaded connection, it is designed for individual outlets, such as taps and washing machines, or small groups of services supplied via a manifold.

Manufactured from stainless steel, this maintenance-free arrestor can be installed in any orientation and is suitable for use in coastal environments and with brackish water.

For best performance, install the arrestor as close as possible to the tap or valve causing the water hammer.
