The Fernox Electrolytic Scale Reducer 22mm Compression is an in-line scale reduction device designed to help prevent the build-up of limescale throughout the home.

Using electrolytic principles, the unit alters the structure of hardness salts to encourage coagulation, helping reduce scale formation in domestic water systems. It provides whole-house protection and can help protect appliances including boilers, showers and kettles from the effects of limescale.

The Fernox Electrolytic Scale Reducer is a maintenance-free solution that is effective immediately and can remain effective for up to 10 years, depending on water quality and usage. The 22mm version is installed using compression fittings and can be fitted to either horizontal or vertical pipework.

The unit has a forged brass, nickel-plated construction and is WRAS approved. It has a maximum working pressure of 10 bar at 20°C and is designed for cold mains water applications.
