How To Fit Your New Basin Taps

How To Fit Your New Basin Taps

Transform the feel of your bathroom by updating your basin taps.

To fit your new basin taps, simply follow the basic steps below.

    You will need:

    • A Tape Measure
    • A Wrench
    • A Screwdriver
    • Pliers
    • Cleaning Equipment

     How to:

    1. Firstly, turn off your water supply at the main & run your taps dry.
    2. Now undo the nuts connecting the taps to the water supply using a wrench. This will be located under your basin. Once this is complete, you should now be able to lift off the old taps as they will be loose.
    3. We now recommend cleaning the whole area and inspecting it for any possible faults or repairs that need auctioning.
    4. You can now measure the taps to ensure that they are the perfect size for the pipework (if you haven’t already). This is to prevent any leaks in the future and ensure that they will be watertight.
    5. Next, you are ready to connect your brand new taps. Place the washers down first, then place the new taps through the holes on top of the washers. Also, add a back nut to allow you to tighten the taps as required.
    6. After this, fix the water supply pipes to the taps and tighten them to create a strong, leak proof, seal.
    7. Finally, turn the water supply back on and run the taps slowly to check for any leaks. If there is any, you may need to tighten the nuts & connectors and try again.
