The Hotun Shield 100C provides an additional layer of protection where a Hotun dry trap tundish is installed in an accessible location. It helps reduce the risk of accidental contact with potentially scalding water while retaining visibility of the discharge.

Installation is straightforward: simply position the shield over the compatible Hotun 100C tundish and click it into place. It is held securely by the tundish's plastic inlet nut.

The shield can be lifted without removing the tundish, allowing convenient access for inspection and maintenance.

Compatibility & Important Installation Information

The Hotun Shield HS100C is designed exclusively for the Hotun 100C range of dry trap tundishes.

Important restrictions:

• Not suitable for unvented water heater applications.


• Must not be used where the connection to drain is in fluid communication with wholesome water.


• Suitable for boiler applications and other installations that do not require an air break to drain, subject to the manufacturer's installation requirements.


• Installation should be assessed according to the specific application and relevant Water Regulations.

The shield can also be used with the Hotun Detect water alarm unit when the designated cut-out section is removed.

For the Hotun SF range, a different shield is required: the Hotun Shield HSSF.
