The Hotun Shield 100C (HS100C) is a protective accessory designed specifically for the Hotun 100C range of dry trap tundishes. It provides additional protection against accidental contact with potentially scalding discharge water, making it particularly useful where a tundish is installed in an accessible position.

Designed with both safety and practicality in mind, the Hotun Shield features an easy-fit, drop-over design that securely clips onto the compatible tundish. It allows discharged water to remain visible while helping prevent direct access to hot water during pressure relief valve discharge.

The shield can also be lifted independently of the tundish, making routine inspection and maintenance easier. Manufactured for high-temperature applications, it has a temperature rating of up to 120°C and is backed by a 10-year warranty.
